I got diagnosed recently with inattentive adhd. I was able to work well in engineering but when i switched to research, trying to figure out how to have structure nearly did me in. This was definitely a good read.
Ohh yeah I went through this too. I was a typical SWE for two years, and then did ML research for 8 years. Happy to chat on zoom in case there's anything more specific I can share on being productive in extremely unstructured environments.
